Interview of Football Fans – 1 – MUFC

Thank you so much for your participation in this interview, tell us your early memories associated with Manchester United and how you fell in love with this club?

Well, my first memory of watching football came in 2006 World Cup and that feisty game between England and Portugal involving Rooney’s red card & Cristiano’s infamous wink. Throughout the game, commentators kept referring to Manchester United so it intrigued me to check them out and I have been in love with the team since then & the love keeps increasing despite the recent run of results.

Sir Alex Ferguson, during his 25 years of tenure, he won 38 trophies including 13 Premier League titles, few words on him?

The Godfather of Modern Football. We will not see anyone like him ever again. Being at Man United for 25 years, creating 4 different title-winning sides, making superstars out of youngsters, he truly was a god’s gift to Manchester United football club & their fans.

He was feisty when needed to be, he would put his arm around a player when he thought it was the right thing to do. More than winning titles, the way he managed egos & big names in the dressing room and kept them hungry to win season after season was the highlight of his career.

13 EPL titles won, lost the 2011-12 season on goal difference & missed out on 2009-10 by just one point. There is a reason why we miss him even more during our recent struggles.

Everyone felt he was the right person to lead initially but right now they are not able to find consistency in their performances. Your thoughts on Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer attracts unfair criticism from our own fanbase who want nothing but titles for their club. Solskjaer has done well to get rid of the unwanted players at the club. Ole may not be a master tactician like Jose Mourinho & Pep Guardiola but he understands this club, he now knows the players and what is needed to get the best out of them. He has been trying different formations & combinations recently and despite the #OleOut screams getting louder, he has lost 3 out of his last 10 games.

The biggest concern for Ole right now is the inconsistency shown by his team other than that, we are playing the best football since Ferguson era, scoring goals for fun & looking like a team. I hope Ole gets this entire season to manage & then we can judge him all we like.

What do you think United can do for them to stay in the Champions League Qualifiers?

We need to be consistent to start with, stop conceding silly & cheap goals game after game.
Ole now knows his trusted midfield three (Fred, McTominay, Bruno) and he will need to be more ruthless after the international break to demand results from his talented group of players.

Who is that one player you would love to see in Manchester United team?

That is a tough one to answer because Manchester United at the moment needs a commanding central defender, a dynamic right-winger, a dominant central midfielder and an out and out striker to become a top club again. Since I can choose only one, I would go for Cristiano Ronaldo to play from the right-wing & give us another attacking dimension to our play.

Your all-time MUFC XI?

This should be fun. I would go for a 3-1-4-2 formation and only those players whom I have watched play LIVE.

GK – Edwin Van Der Saar

Defenders – Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Aaron Wan Bissaka

Wingers – Cristiano Ronaldo, Antonio Valencia

Midfielders – Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes, Bruno Fernandes

Strikers – Wayne Rooney, Robin Van Persie

This reminds me of my Fan2Play app where you can choose any player you want in your Fantasy Teams.

What is this app about?

Fan2Play Fantasy game is India’s quickest Fantasy game at the moment where you can build your fantasy teams with just 2/3/4 players. There are no budget limitations or position limitations just pick the players who you think will do well on a day and take home the prize money.

It’s a 1vs1 direct challenge against another Fan2Play user so your chances of winning are always 50%. If you have not checked out the app, download now to be part of India’s quickest Fantasy Game.

What was the inspiration behind this app?

Like many others out there, I am also a Fantasy Game Lover and I wanted a Fantasy game with less restrictions, less combinations & easier to enjoy so that is how Fan2Play came along. You can pick as low as 2 players and build your fantasy team, decide your own stake amount and enjoy the fantasy gaming experience.

There are so many fantasy apps that are available today, how is your app different from others?

To start with you can create your teams with 2/3/4 players and we do not tell users what to do. It’s completely their own choice & they have the complete freedom to build their own fantasy challenge. They can decide the entry fee they are comfortable with and start challenging others. Chances of winning are higher than any other Fantasy apps & like I said before fan2play is India’s quickest fantasy game.

What is the point/reward system on your app?

We follow a dynamic points system for both Cricket and Football fantasy game. In coming weeks, we are bringing a new game mode which will keep the fantasy players on edge of their seats.

As for rewards, we have a very rewarding deposit bonus structure in place where users can get 100% to 200% cashback in their wallets & can use that bonus amount for an unlimited number of challenges.
